Brink of Lower Falls, Yellowstone.

Edward Wessel, 1891:"as beautiful a scene of rugged nature as is possible to behold anywhere."
Alfred Lambourne, 1884, : "one whose images would hold a place and whose influence would be felt through all the days remaining of my life."
On June 16, 2009, 20 yr old Nicholas Jeffrey Mostert descended the trail to the Brink of the Lower Falls, near Canyon Village...while other visitors watched, he climbed over the retaining fence and jumped into the river at its drop. He was immediately swept over the brink, falling more than 300' in the water of Lower Falls to the rocks and river below. His body was not immediately recovered.
